Contemporary film noir comes a cropper in this misguided mystery clamoring after the style of BODY HEAT (1981). It takes more than a saxophone to create atmosphere; what this film lacks is a sinuous screenplay whose curves aren't obvious a mile away.
Ex-cop and recovering alcoholic Michael Nash (Luke Perry) makes a living snapping incriminating photos for lawyer Beth Sussman (Lisa Edelstein). Zachariah Dodd (James Read), a powerful, feared attorney at Beth's firm, requests Jimmy's aid in proving the infidelity of his wife Eve (Gloria Reuben).
