Better than usual Autry picture finds him as an undercover man in the Union Army, after switching loyalties from the Confederate cavalry. He is sent to make peace between a group of Indians and white settlers. With the help of Buttram and Grant he exposes Van Zandt, an ex-Austrian
officer, along with Collins, as the bad guys behind the Indian uprisings. Along the way Autry sings a couple of numbers including "Chattanooga Shoe Shine Boy." Typical production values, with some action footage taken from the 1940 film ARIZONA.
