Though this film is expertly photographed, the story of recuperating Australian soldiers during WW II, attended by a beautiful nurse, Wendy Hughes, drags in many spots and never reaches a satisfactory conclusion. Hughes takes care of five men in a field hospital mental ward and is revered by her patients until Gary Sweet arrives.
