The Incredible Two-Headed Transplant: Review

This mean little film features Dern as a mad scientist interested in applying an extra head to every living creature imaginable. He's already done snakes, rabbits, and other little creatures, so now it's time for some human experimentation. Priest is his long suffering wife, and disk jockey Kasem is Dern's best friend. The opportunity for Dern's next phase comes in the form of homicidal maniac Cole, who wakes up attached to the body of gentle, mentally handicapped farmhand Bloom. From there, the film degenerates into a sick play on audience's emotions, exploiting the amiable retarded man's plight for all it's worth. That Dern ever graduated to A pictures from this is something of a miracle: the quality of his performance here equals that of the film.
