In A Monastery Garden

Stuart and Williams are cast as brothers (though they bear no resemblance to one another) who are both enamoured of the same gal. The problem is that she's already engaged to a wealthy count. After a murder that sends one brother to jail, the other gets the girl. He accomplishes this by impressing her with musical compositions he has stolen from the imprisoned brother. The works are considered those of a genius, so he gains great fame. The other brother has joined a monastery in the meantime and refuses to give up his vows for love or fame.
