Impulse

When his wife (Shelton) goes off on holiday, Kennedy takes the opportunity to have an affair with Smith, a local nightclub songstress. She tells him that her brother is in trouble over some stolen diamonds, but it turns out that Smith will say just about anything to obtain the diamonds herself. She fools Kennedy into thinking he killed a man after he buys them both tickets out of the country. Kennedy decides to stay and face the authorities, causing Smith to remain as well so his name can be cleared. This is nothing out of the ordinary as far as thrillers go, though a good sense of suspense is maintained, with enough plot twists to hold interest.
