You'd think visionary sci-fi writer Philip K. Dick would have been better served by the cinema, but eliminate the melancholy Blade Runner and the bleakly beautiful Minority Report and you're left with a lot of disappointing junk. Which is all the more reason to catch this flawed but surprisingly successful adaptation of Dick's 1953 short story about an apparently human scientist who's accused of being an alien cyborg.
