Donlevy is the target of a murder plot devised by his gold digger wife and her boy friend. Before they can get to him, however, he turns the tables on them and the lover is killed. Mistaken identity then comes to the fore, as the newspapers declare Donlevy dead. His wife is booked and jailed for murder, and Donlevy, while lying low, falls in love with widow Raines. She persuades him to surrender to the police, which he does. Surprising evidence turns up at his trial in this decent melodrama that offers a nice mix of music. leave a comment
