An often funny war spoof has Ford pretending to be a general after the death of his commanding officer, Smith. With morale down and organization suffering, Smith's plan was to stand by his troops, staying with them on the battlefield to raise their hopes. Disregarding consequences, Ford assumes Smith's role and leads the troops to a daring victory. Buttons is outstanding as Ford's comic sidekick. leave a comment
