Against his wishes, entertainer Como gets pulled into the political ring as a candidate for governor. The usual "common man" speeches are heard throughout the campaign which is pushed along by his musical colleagues and friends. Some good tunes from Harry James and Carmen Miranda (oddly
cast as an Irish lass) drown the inept scripting. Songs include: "If I'm Lucky," "One More Kiss," "Publicity," "Bet Your Bottom Dollar," "Follow The Band," and "That American Look" (Josef Myrow, Edgar De Lange). A remake of 1937's THANKS A MILLION.
