Hyams is a stenographer from a middle-class background who weds her rich boss, Nagel. When he visits the girl's parents he finds that they feel the need to prove class equality. After being subjected to a long-winded speech on the class system from Hyams' cousin, Nagel decides to move in with the folks, at Hyams' urging.
