Dancer Harvey breaks her leg and is taken care of by puppeteer Raymond. They fall in love. This routine story line is boosted by the clever use of puppets to symbolize the relationship between Harvey and Raymond at its various stages. In the film's best sequence, Harvey dreams that she is
