You Can't Hurry Love

YOU CAN'T HURRY LOVE is a pretty awful comedy about dating in the 1980s that underneath its trendy facade tries to say something positive about romance. David Packer stars as Eddie Hayes, a 23-year-old kid from Akron who arrives in LA without a girl, a car, a job, or a pick-up line. He goes to work handing out fliers on the beach where he meets Peggy Kellogg (Bridget Fonda), an employee of Video Valentine, a video dating service. After he has made a dating video and undergone a series of sexual misadventures, he meets the high-powered head of Vidiocity ad agency's New York branch and is offered a job with the company.
