Brutal, excellent moral tale, dealing with four rabbit hunters. Three Spanish Civil War veterans return to an old battleground that is now filled with rabbits. Merlo, the outing organizer, hopes to borrow some money from his war buddy, Mayo, now a rich businessman. The tensions between the two build with frightening force, and old angers and rivalries are taken out on the rabbits with frightening brutality. Mayo is killed by an accidental shot from Merlo's gun.
