Hungry Hill

Overworked dramatization of Daphne du Maurier's novel, detailing a 50-year family feud that spans three generations of Irishmen. Set in 1840, the tale begins as the patriarch of the Donovan clan starts a rebellion against the Brodrick family, which owns the copper mine on what was once Donovan property. In the battle the mine is burned down and the oldest Brodrick boy is killed. This leaves Price the head of the Brodrick family, and having little interest in the mining business, he spends much of his time courting local beauty Lockwood.
