Joe Kirkwood, Jr., pummels again as Joe Palooka in one of the lesser boxing comedies based on the exploits of Ham Fisher's comic-strip hero. This time, Joe and his erstwhile manager, Knobby (Leon Errol), do battle with a shady mayor and a dishonest fight promoter who have tricked a punchy boxer, the eponymous Humphrey (Robert Coogan), into signing an unfair contract.
