After the success of The Readers Digest and Arthur P. Jacobs musical adaptation of Mark Twain's Tom Sawyer the same group decided to do a film just like it. They adapted Huckleberry Finn, and the results are terrible, giving family entertainment a bad name. Twain's story is butchered and the mood completely wrong.
