How To Save A Marriage--And Ruin Your Life: Review

Martin stars in another fairly lame sex comedy that is neither funny nor sexy. He plays an unmarried lawyer who takes it upon himself to save the marriage of his best friend, Wallach, by seducing Wallach's mistress and removing her from the picture. Unfortunately, Martin assumes that Wallach's secretary, Stevens, is the mistress (he's wrong), and he soon has her devoted to him and housed in a lush apartment. When Martin informs Wallach that he's stolen his mistress, Wallach panics, dumps his real mistress, next-door neighbor Jackson, and tries to save his marriage. Meanwhile, the confused Stevens and Jackson finally figure out what's going on and demand that Martin and Wallach marry them. Martin agrees to marry Stevens with the provision that she can back out if she feels things aren't working out. This never arises, however, because after one night of marital bliss, Stevens decides it's to her liking. leave a comment
