A funny satire of British aristocracy and their refusal to enter into honest labor even when poverty-stricken. Nobleman Patrick is destitute and plans to kill his rich uncle from Canada, Coburn, to get his inheritance. His murder attempts backfire; his English family is accidentally picked off one by one as each meets the violent death meant for Coburn. Absent-minded Patrick is finally killed by his own trap when he walks into Coburn's room, which he has rigged up with a shotgun. Coburn is arrested by the police for the murder of Patrick but is saved when Patrick's elderly aunt, Johnson, steps forward and clears him. Star Patrick also codirected this film. leave a comment
