After country doctor Stuart saves the life of press lord Gawthorne's young daughter, the important man is grateful. Later the doctor passes away, and his son (Stuart in a dual role) begins his own training for a medical career. He meets Barrie, who just happens to be the girl his father saved years earlier. The two fall in love, to Gawthorne's displeasure.
