The feature debut of Brian De Palma protege Mark Rosman, this sporadically interesting slasher film is better directed than most. Opening with a precredit sequence wherein a horribly deformed, mentally defective baby is born to a woman who has used a fertility drug, the film then shoots forward 20 years.
