This truly awful Italian outing features Rossano Brazzi (SOUTH PACIFIC) as mad scientist Frankenstein, who is attempting to create a giant monster named, appropriately enough, Goliath. With the help of the usual bevy of misfit cretins found in these movies--including Genz the dwarf and a hunchback named Kreegin--Brazzi succeeds in planting a brain in the giant's skull. When dwarf Dunn (who played the memorable villain Dr. Loveless in the television series "The Wild, Wild West") is expelled from the castle, he decides to get revenge by enlisting the aid of a Neanderthal man named Ook (played by an actor named Boris Lugosi!). Even weirder, the prehistoric gent wears tennis shorts! Mind-numbingly bad, this film is available on videocassette as DR. FRANKENSTEIN'S CASTLE OF FREAKS. Oh, yeah, there are lots of big-chested naked women, too. leave a comment
