Aumont is a French soldier on a troop train that gets stalled for three hours near his hometown. He takes off to see his girl friend, who hasn't written in some time. When he gets home he learns that his mother kicked the orphaned girl out of her home. But before he leaves on the train, the lovers are reunited. After this film, Aumont himself took up arms with the French Army. Originally shot in France in 1940. (In French; English subtitles.) leave a comment
