Carroll stars in this screwball romp as a society gal who, after an argument with her beau, Scott, decides to get revenge by spending the rest of the day, and most of the night (in a platonic way) with infamous playboy Grant. Her plan backfires when she loses her job due to the gossip incurred by her excursion, and the scandal threatens to ruin her wedding plans with Scott. All ends well when Grant declares Carroll's innocence and later takes her hand in marriage. Familiar Strauss, and Rodgers and Hart melodies are heard throughout much of the film. leave a comment
