The fourth and weakest pairing of Lowe and McLaglen as the rival WW I buddies, Quirt and Flagg, who had spent the last three movies (WHAT PRICE GLORY?, THE COCK-EYED WORLD, and WOMEN OF ALL NATIONS) genially trying to outdo each other. This time the boys are civilians, and we see McLaglen as a wealthy bootlegger who has little success against Lowe, who swipes $10,000 and Latin bombshell Velez from him. McLaglen doesn't let go that easily, and Velez finds herself trapped in a tug-of-war between the two rivals. Eventually the battle is ended when Velez walks out on the two of them and the boys end up as generals in the Chinese Army. The series had pretty much gasped ...
