An odious sexploitationer that sets a sophomoric script against a background of skiing at Lake Tahoe--specifically a skiing technique called "hotdogging," which is highly choreographed. Outside of that, however, it resorts to the standard methods of boys trying to bed the girls who tease them. Naughton is a Manhattan brat who exhibits a streetwise sensibility as well as an ability to handle the slopes gracefully. He becomes friends with a country boy, Houser, who falls for the comely Smith when he picks her up, hitchhiking her way to the World Freestyle Championship. What little conflict the movie has to offer comes in the form of a brash group of Australian skiers, led by Reger. One would think that in the process of becoming a championship skier one's social life would suffer. But not these youngsters--with unflagging dedication dress up in new ski suits and quickly shed them as they hop from bed to bed. The film's only plus is some superb ski photography. leave a comment
