After a British barrister's daughter is killed by a hit-and-run driver, the grieved father vows revenge. Later his neighbor turns up dead, and all evidence points towards the barrister as his killer. He goes on trial for murder and is forced to question his very sanity. This potentially fascinating psychological drama never delivers, hampered as it is by flat direction and performances that belong more on stage than in a film. The complex plot twists only confuse.
