This truly awful sci-fi film lifted most of the special effects sequences from a different, black-and-white Filipino movie, gave them a color tint, and acclaimed the process as "Spectrum X." Scientists Carradine, Volante, and Dix learn of a vampire invasion from space and quickly build a
rocket, shooting themselves to the vampire planet to stop the evil blood-suckers in their tracks. There they battle "claw creatures," "snake men," and "bat demons" (all from the other movie), and eventually save Earth. Believe it or not, famed cinematographer Vilmos Zsigmond (DELIVERANCE; CLOSE
ENCOUNTERS OF THE THIRD KIND) shot all the original footage.
