Hopscotch

This well-crafted comedy concerns top-drawer CIA agent Miles Kendig (Walter Matthau), who is demoted to managing the office files by his bureaucratic boss (Ned Beatty). Miles takes off for Europe and meets Mikhail Yaskov (Herbert Lom), an old friend and Soviet agent, who suggests Miles write his memoirs. Taken with the idea, Miles flies off to Salzburg and meets Isobel von Schmidt (Glenda Jackson), an old flame who is also a former agent. She provides support as he begins writing a book that will expose the secrets of world espionage.
