Miller is England's funniest comic and Desmond is "Scotland's Bluebelle," a top male impersonator. When she dares him to try his material on Scottish audiences, Miller accepts, only to die a wretched on-stage death. His manager tries sending Miller to a smaller club to fix up the material
but the audience is even more hostile there. Miller winds up in the hospital, well taken care of by Desmond, who is disguised as a nurse. The story serves as nothing more than a simple line on which to hang the talents of its stars, and the pair's nuttiness in this slight comedy works in an
off-beat manner.
