1951, Movie, NR, 61 mins

Fair gangster film starring Lawrence Tierney (famed for his title role in the ridiculous DILLINGER [1945], also directed by Nosseck) as a convict paroled by the state after his mother tearfully pleads for his release. To fulfill the parole obligations, Tierney's brother (played by Tierney's real-life brother, Eddie) hires his sibling to work at his gas station. After five years of behaving himself in prison, Tierney is once again bitten by the crime bug when he sees an armored car pull up in front of the bank across the street from the gas station. Tierney gathers up his old gang and plans an elaborate robbery, which, when put into action, ends up getting most of the gang killed, including Tierney. Once again, crime doesn't pay. Neither did this movie. leave a comment
