Cute little film features Bari as a mother/mystery novelist with three kids (Garner, Stockwell and Marshall). The precocious youngsters stumble onto a neighborhood murder and work on confounding the cops, so Mom can solve the murder and have a new story. The kids get in over their heads, and
danger is afoot until Scott, a handsome policeman and love interest for Bari, saves the day. The script is based on the true experiences of author Rice. The kids are far beyond the typical movie brats, very natural and amusing in their respective roles. Scott, on a break from his cowboy
