Cute little film features Bari as a mother/mystery novelist with three kids (Garner, Stockwell and Marshall). The precocious youngsters stumble onto a neighborhood murder and work on confounding the cops, so Mom can solve the murder and have a new story. The kids get in over their heads, and danger is afoot until Scott, a handsome policeman and love interest for Bari, saves the day. The script is based on the true experiences of author Rice.
