This snappy, light-hearted British film features Guinness as a man who has contracted an incurable disease and only has a short time left to live. He withdraws his life savings and moves to a fancy hotel for one last fling. Ironically, he is offered several new prospects, after having
struggled his entire life, earning a meager salary as a salesman. Cleverly written, the film is moved along by a direction which smoothly combines the various caricatures. Guinness delivers a well-polished performance.
