This touching and memorable romance, based on a script by Billy Wilder and Charles Brackett opens with a typically brilliant Wilder twist: Mitchell Leisen, shown on the set of his previous film, I Wanted Wings, is approached by Charles Boyer, a Romanian gigolo who's looking to sell his story to the famous director for $500.
