Belmondo is an ex-race car driver turned getaway wheelman for a bank robber. When the boss is killed, Belmondo pits himself against other gang members for control of the mob. Along the way he has an affair with a model and kidnaps a reporter to tell his side of the story. After the reporter is killed, a gang war takes place. Belmondo is captured and led away in a flurry of flashbulbs. Belmondo's performance is more cartoonish than anything else, and the film moves jerkily along in poorly connected episodes. leave a comment
