Even though Alec Guinness was the finest actor ever to portray Adolf Hitler, HITLER: THE LAST TEN DAYS is yet another failed attempt to make the Fuhrer the subject of compelling drama. Set almost entirely in Hitler's bunker, the film details the final days of the Third Reich. Unfortunately,
nothing much happens, and although Guinness eschewed the "raving maniac" portrayal that most actors saddled with the role have relied on, the lifeless alternative he offers is neither involving nor particularly insightful.
