Livingston, Corrigan, and Terhune in yet another of the long-running "Three Mesquiteers" oaters. Nineteen-year-old Rita Hayworth, billed as Rita Cansino, makes an early screen appearance as a saloon songstress and gets to perform an original song, "Winding the Trail," with Livingston. The story tells of a bad cattle rancher, McGowan, who paints his horse to look like a wild stallion in order to rustle wild horses out of a federally protected area. When local sheriff Cassidy investigates, McGowan and his men trample him to death and blame it on a different wild stallion.
