Hit And Run

1957, Movie, NR, 85 mins

Haas is a rich old man who owns a combination junkyard-service station. He takes a much younger woman, Moore (this was her seventh Haas film), as his bride. He loses her to his youthful employee, Edwards, who involves Moore in a murder scheme to get Haas out of the way. Moore leaves Haas' estate with the old man's twin brother (also played by Haas), who has just been released from prison. In a twist ending we discover that Haas' convict brother is the one who is murdered, and that the old man is still around to scare the truth out of the murderous lovers. Ella Mae Morse sings "What Good'll It Do Me." Another brooding all-Haas production.
