The familiar three-sailors-on-leave plotline gets a big shot in the arm in this musical, which features an outstanding cast, good production numbers, and nice visuals. Tony Martin, Russ Tamblyn, and Vic Damone play the three swabbies who venture into San Francisco in search of romance. Although Danny (Tamblyn) and Rico (Damone) must fulfill family obligations (Danny visits his father, an admiral, and Rico goes to see his mother), they all find time to fall in love. leave a comment
