The History Of Mr. Polly

Mills stars as the henpecked dreamer of H.G. Wells' novel who finally undoes the shackles of his domineering wife and goes off in search of a more fulfilling lifestyle. He settles for a handyman job at a small country inn, and it is there that he finds true happiness. The film is slow-paced, but Mills' performance is engrossing and he pulls the viewer along with him.
