Rory Calhoun and his agent, Vic Orsatti, produced this offbeat western. The story features Calhoun as a professional gunman hired by a wealthy Texan, Litel, to bring back his dead son's wife, Francis, who is supposed to hang for the murder of her husband. A few hours before the hanging, Francis breaks out of jail and escapes to New Mexico, where her father has a ranch.
