Erwin, a spineless bookkeeper, buys some properties after his girl friend Venable starts getting pushy. He's holding out for a $10 raise from boss Hall, so he'll have enough cash to marry the gal. His investments pay off, however, netting him enough dough to buy the company. His first task is to fire Hall, though he soon hires him back on the condition that Hall gives him that $10 raise. leave a comment
