High Lonesome

Set in the cattle country of Texas' Big Bend, HIGH LONESOME stars Barrymore as a young drifter whose rootless presence in the area makes him the prime suspect in a series of mysterious murders. He is captured by a rancher and held on his property until it can be established whether he is responsible for the deaths. The true killers, brothers Elam and Kashner (who were believed killed in a range war years ago), have returned to the area seeking revenge on the families that had made war on them and it is they who have set up young Barrymore to take the fall.
