Taylor is an Australian detective sent to London to arrest Plummer, a top-level government negotiator, for the murder of his first wife 25 years before. Plummer is unmoved by the murder charge and asks permission to finish attending a conference before his arrest. Taylor agrees and Plummer even allows the detective to stay in his home, which is occupied by his second wife, Palmer, and his loyal secretary, Sparv. When Plummer goes to the hospital to visit an ailing American diplomat, Taylor saves the ambassador's life from an assassination attempt. That night Taylor meets the sexy Lavi and spends the evening with her, only to be severely beaten by thugs on his way home. The next day Taylor again saves Plummer's life when an assassin disguised as a reporter tries to shoot him. Eventually Palmer confesses to having killed Plummer's first wife, but Plummer refuses to permit her confession. The butler then announces that a bomb has been placed in the living room on the orders of Lavi, who is in reality a foreign agent. Palmer takes the bomb back to Lavi's home and forces her to sit still until the bomb explodes, killing both of them. The good cast can't overcome the ludicrous scripting. leave a comment
