Big band sensation Calloway becomes the object of two gals' desires, pitting his steady girl, Le Gon, against his manager, James. Jealous of James' maneuvers, Le Gon hires a rival clubowner to do away with Calloway. Guilt takes hold of her, however, and she tries to prevent the killing. Instead, she gets dusted by the thugs, leaving the door open for a Calloway-James wedding. Along with the title tune, Cab sings his and Elton Hill's "I Got a Gal Named Nettie." The Peters Sisters also deliver a couple of tunes: "Little Old Lady from Baltimore " and "A Rainy Sunday." leave a comment
