Barthelmess is a WW I veteran who returns home a drug addict. He is shunned by society, but then becomes a millionaire through his friendship with Barrat, who has invented a washing machine. Barthelmess becomes his friend's partner and finds himself caught in the middle of a worker's strike. A hokey melodrama that is too far from reality to be enjoyed. leave a comment
