Grapewin is a 35-year-old night watchman who was an All-American football player in his college days. His alma mater is playing a post-season game and the school thinks it would be great human interest if the old star played in the game. He suits up, helps the team win, and collapses in the
closing minutes of the contest. The film collapses right after the opening titles.
