This was Paramount's first remake of its silent westerns adapted from Zane Grey stories, as well as Scott's first starring role. Scott is a rancher who saves orphan Blane from Landau and his rustlers. The script is surprisingly poor considering the source, but director Hathaway develops
the action and the relationship between Scott and Blane is well done.
