A small musical with Stockwell (father of actor Dean Stockwell) as a songwriter who has one of his songs stolen by music publisher Gleckler. He and his girl friend, Bruce, take the battle to court and, with the aid of Jubilee singers, hillbillies, cowboys and Indians, prove that he came up
with his song by rearranging four folk songs. He's awarded $50,000, and that money should have been used to buy a decent screenplay. There is one hilarious scene with Gilbert trying to sing during a sneezing fit; otherwise the film limps along on a weak story and too little suspense. Songs:
