Her Alibi

Tom Selleck plays Phil Blackwood, a best-selling author of pulp detective novels whose writer's block leads him to a courthouse, where he falls for Nina Ionescu (Paulina Porizkova), the mysterious, Romanian defendant in a murder case. In no time, Phil has set himself up as Nina's alibi and whisked her off to his country home in Connecticut. There "accidents" begin to threaten Phil's life, prompting him to wonder if his new love isn't out to make her alibi a permanent one. A suspicious district attorney, the KGB, and Nina's circus-acrobat parents are also thrown into narrative mix, which is augmented by Selleck's voice-over, consisting of passages of the mystery wri...
